While hiking near the base of Mount Høgsnyta, Kaspar came upon a muskox herd — too close, too suddenly. At the center stood this older cow, a powerful matriarch, stomping her left hoof and locking eyes with the intruder. It was a clear warning: this is her ground, and she’s not to be tested. Behind her, younger muskoxen watched as she held her stance, commanding space without chaos. Muskoxen rarely rush to conflict, instead offering bold but honest signals when boundaries are crossed. This moment — captured just before Kaspar respectfully backed away — shows strength, grace, and the quiet authority of a seasoned protector atop Norway’s “Tall Peak.”
